It is with deepest sadness that we must announce that  Founder and Country Director of AfriKids Ghana, Mr Nicholas Kumah, has passed away following a sudden illness.

 Nich is the reason AfriKids is what it is today, and more than a million people’s lives are improved because of his fierce determination to overcome adversity and demand more for the children in his community. Nich’s vision and limitless faith that by working together, we can change our world for the better, has taken us further than we ever imagined. We will honour his legacy and are more resolute than ever to see through his mission: to ensure that every child in Ghana is healthy, safe and in school.

 We are in close contact with Nich’s family, supporting them through this difficult time and we are all taking great comfort from the kind messages being shared on our online Memorial Wall – which you may like to contribute to here:
