We are pleased to announce two appointments to our leadership team in Ghana: David Pwalua as Country Director and Linda Marfoh as Director of Operations.
Between them, David and Linda have worked with AfriKids for over 26 years. Their appointments follow a rigorous selection process, involving presentations and interviews to the Trustees and Directors of AfriKids UK and AfriKids Ghana. David is stepping up from his previous role as Director of Programmes and Linda from HR Manager, they have both served on the senior management team for over a decade. David and Linda share deep knowledge and experience of AfriKids’ work and the communities we exist to serve and in their interviews, presented great passion, vision and commitment for taking AfriKids even further – to strengthen the organisation and maximise its impact in improving children’s lives. We will shortly be sharing our new strategic plan for 2021-2025, which David and Linda will spearhead in Ghana. In the meantime, a warm welcome to David and Linda in their new roles.

These appointments have been made following the sad and sudden passing of our former Ghana Country Director, Nich Kumah. David and Linda worked with Nich for many years and are passionate about continuing his remarkable legacy and vision for making Ghana a beacon for child rights.
