Imagine a world where all children are healthy, safe and learning.
Become a Community Champion with AfriKids and help an entire community achieve this for their children.
What is a Community Champion?
Community Champions team up with a community in one of the world’s hardest to reach places in northern Ghana.
Over the next three years, you will enable the community to ensure all their children are healthy, safe and in school – today and in the future. For less than £42 per child (INDIRECT NUMBER).
You can fly to Ghana to visit the community and you will receive regular updates about the impact you are making to children’s lives.
Community Champions can be individuals, families or organisations. Together, you form a movement of changemakers whocollectively support 60 underserved communities to provide a brighter future for their children.
The land of the resilient.
You will help children living near the desert who are of risk of being exploited for illegal smuggling and being threatened by climate change and terrorism.
Learn MoreThe land of kinship.
You will help children who are at risk of working in dangerous mines and marrying too young to earn money for their families.
The land of the brave.
You will help children who are sacrificing their education and their futures because they need to earn money selling goods at the market.

The difference you will make
We’re helping protect habitats and improve connections between fragmented areas where elephants live. We're working with governments and local communities to reduce conflict between people and elephants. And we’re influencing policy and legislation to benefit elephant conservation.
We're working with TRAFFIC, the wildlife trade monitoring network, to help train law enforcement agencies and lobby governments to improve laws on wildlife crime, including the illegal elephant trade.
